Aiming to send a love message and spread the national moral value “The leaves protect tattered ones”, r-pac Vietnam is involved in efforts to the charity program called “Planting Hope, Spread Love” to uplift the lives of people in Mo Xi Hamlet, Ha Giang. 

The harsh winter in Ha Giang brings added challenges to the lives of mountain dwellers. Mo Xi Hamlet, Na Pang Hamlet, Mau Long Commune, Yen Minh District, Ha Giang Province is a place with many unfortunate lives like that.

The difficult life of Mo Xi residents

To reach Mo Xi Hamlet from Ha Noi, we must travel almost 400 kilometers through narrow and treacherous mountain trails, which take about 12 hours. Unfortunately, due to the challenging terrain, it is extremely difficult for this location to access economic growth. As a result, the 142 households in this area struggle to make ends meet with only VND 1.5 million per month. They are unable to afford their basic needs. Clean running water, electricity, and food were luxuries for them.

Na Pang School was poorly built and offered primitive facilities

130 kids in Na Pang Hamlet face unimaginable tragedy: being orphaned, depending on their efforts, or receiving assistance from neighbors or relatives. Na Pang School is the only educational center for 70 preschool and elementary-aged kids. Built in 2006, the school is now in poor and risky condition: a damaged yard, dilapidated bamboo fence, inadequate facilities, and a shortage of freshwater. The pupils are sponsored school meals twice a week consisting of rice, vegetables, and a small portion of meat to supply nutrition.
Aiming to spread the meaningful value “The leaves protect tattered ones”,  r-pac Vietnam chose this destination as the launch location for our 2023 CSR program with the charity program called “Planting Hope, Spread Love”.

To create safer and better study conditions at Na Pang School, we supported fixing the schoolyard and fence and provided small gifts such as cute lunch boxes. Additionally, we devoted a portion of the fund to improving the quality of school meals for kids. We believe that all children in this hamlet deserve a better life. Hoping to alleviate some difficulties in daily life, r-pac also provided 142 donation gifts consisting of essential items to households in need.
